See, i'm a fan of doing that sometimes. Just to see if i can extract more chips and if it bites me in the bum then that's just my tough luck. 98% of the time i'll raise though.

I don't see the value in raising. It's a tough six-max game - any raise in this spot is only being called by hands that beat you, IMO. Hands that are weaker, will fold. So where's the value of the raise?
edit: Look at the hand in the context it's been presented - it's not a case of what you always do, or do in tournament play. This is a specific example.
