its a tough one though, and there are merits to both keeping a card and cashing it in.
That's assuming, though, that a) some or all of your opponents have used a card and therefore have a larger stack, and b) there will definitely be an all-in, or close to it, every time you get involved in a pot.
Sure, you might have 800 behind you instead of 1800. Who's to say you'll get the opportunity where the extra 1000 would have been beneficial?
I, like AK, have on afew occasions this season, not cashed my card in at the start. It obviously leads to playing a slightly tighter game, but I don't remember kicking myself thinking,"If only i'd cashed that card in, I'd have X in front of me instead of Y."
