Will it be like Pac...Poker ? or some thing new ? ;) ;) ;)

payout structure has remained the same i believe. only 5 runners were payed out of 48 in a tourney tonight.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Wut? I don't follow?

But I think the answer you seek is: places are always paid; based on the amount of runners, always approx 10% of the field is rewarded.

I just finished reading all the posts on this topic whilst playing online and I'm looking forward to the new seasons options.

For what it's worth I'm playing the AK rebuy and to say I can't wait for it to be gone would be an under statement. I actually survived again with only one rebuy and we are down to 20 runners and I'm current chip leader with $55k., LOL.

To observe how many stupid people can sit on one table and play any 2 cards and continue to rebuy over and over again in the first hour always surprises me! When someone like myself asks WHY? They promptly reply "it's a REBUY", LOL

The new revised online games seem to have a good mix and although I'm not one to play the bigger buyins I do prefer the cash type games.

Nice to see the regulars having their say again and Pete with some creative writings to offer his thoughts on the issue actually made it a great read.

Time to get ready and go to my venue (White Horse) and let the chips ride as I'm down to $50k. :D
Remember, It takes 8 muscles to smile :D and 40 to frown :(

thats a very good point you raise there bob. maybe this may be the end of the "retard" element of the online section of this league...

I think that is a bit harsh.

In terms of rebuys, getting chips onto the table and boosting the prizepool is one thing you want. Everybody has different strategies when it comes to those games. If you don't want to invest in the game then don't. There are players out there that will dump chips onto the table, so that once the rebuy period is over, they can accumulate them back. When the WSOP rebuy events were on, who dumped the most money, the pros, why?, because they felt they had an advantage in getting the chips back and going deep in the tourney.

Calling it a retard element of the online game, shows either ignorance in learning about different strategies, or just naivety that the game is played one way.

Having me on a rebuy table is good and bad. Good because the prizepool will get bigger, bad in that you might suffer a few bad beats in the rebuy phase.
