question: assuming i stack benny the cunt and have 200BB in front of me. if i chose to move tables, will i have to take that whole 200BB with me, or can i bank some?

If its the same game, yeah. If you're switching from NLHE to PLO then you would have to cash out/rebuy for 100bb/whatever you want.

Cashing out a portion of your stack and playing with the rest has never been allowed at my cash games.

If you don't feel comfortable playing a 200bb+ stack, then cash it out, wait 30m/1hr and rebuy for 100bb. Actually, should I make that a rule? That to cash out/rebuy, you have to wait a certain period of time? Or not allow cash outs like described at all?

I'm leaning towards not allowing it.

yeah this is was i was asking. im fine with it either way, doesn't bother me if i get involved in a $500 pot, but i can definitely see others asking this and it coming up as an issue. Prob need to mention it in your opening speech is all.

nah, i reckon if you wanna go away and then come back at any time, you have to put all that money back on the table.

i.e if you get 8 buyins up after 10 hours, you might wanna take an hour break. i reckon you should have to put all that money back on the table.

as the only players I know of on that list that would have played a 24hr stint of live poker before.

I know that AK has scheduled breaks every 6 hours (I don't agree with that BTW, it's a cashie. It should never stop. Implement a 3-person walking rule and just keep the game flowing.), but do you boys have any idea what it is that you're in for???

Breaks will be needed IMO, like you said my group has never done anything like this before - but I do like the 3 person idea to keep the game going. We do need to stop for food at some point though.

I think the longest we've played before was 12h? Maybe longer.

In any case, I am buying 20 cans of mother for the occasion

Longest i have played was probably at benny the cunt's who had an afternoon tourney once and the cashies lasted to 7am the next day. but then again there were a few breaks in the middle there, but that would have been a good 15hrs.
