An excuse?? I don't need an excuse to call. If the hand you are talking about is the one I remember, I believe you weren't wired and I was calling with suited connectors? I'm not a huge underdog here and I was trying to teach you the maths of pot odds and implied odds.

Not what i was referring to, Pete. For mine, my money pretty much always goes in in this spot, for the same reasons Garth mentioned.

Congrats on replying in less than the 10 seconds I gave you LOL

I didn't say it *was* the reason you called, I said it was the bollocks that you said out loud :P

From memory, I just got moved to your table, received pocket 10's exclaimed 'YOU PHUCKING BEAUTY' and promptly went all in. You said out loud you figured me for a high pocket pair (and I snickered) and said you had a good drawing hand and you called. I won.

Naturally, since I beat you in a hand.. I went and told everyone lol :P
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I recognised the pot odds part of it but I am still hopless when working out the hand odds. Which was why I was curious if my move was justified considering the other option would have got me a better prize. ;)

Oh and there ended up being 4 hearts on the board so I had to double check hoping my 5 diamonds had changed to a heart (but it hadn't strangely). No-one had a heart in their hand. Now that would have been nice and the sort of luck I was hoping for.

At least you played the pot odds last time Garth was at our table, Pete. From memory, I threw all-in UTG blind, Garth looked at one card and followed suit, James then called blind as well, and you, sir, made the call with ...J10? Of course, this was after the comment from both of us ..."We've already qualified. Gamboool!"

:D
