SHIT - can someone write up a news story and announcement for me. I forgot all about this.
Effective immediately all season will run from the 1st of the month to the end of the third month (quarter to quarter)
This season will finish on 30th of June and the new season will commence on the 1st of July and run to September 30th.
We are getting rid of the week's 1 - 30 and will be running 365 days, 52 weeks per year!

Not sure if this is real or not, but if it is, it is not a very good idea! Leaderboards would end up all over the place. You will get some events that run more than others and have people complaining left right and centre that it is not fair they only got 11 weeks for their event, when others got 12.....

Let the complaining begin then.
Score Boards won't end up all over the place. All venue scoreboards are on an equal footing and what happens the season previous balances up the season after doesn't it?

All venues will still get 52 games per year (minus public hols etc) so it will even out

Re: GF-Where and when?
Look at it this way, what if a guy can only play online/live on Wednesday and the Season starts on a Thurs, ends on a Tues? Or same if the Season starts on a Wed, and ends on a Wed? Both examples are an out of whack leaderboard, don't u think?? This is important when considering things like the DT scoreboard. The State scoreboard has similar problems with the venue events.
We've had the discussion re everyone not having equal opportunity with regards to geography/other commitments, and mostly that is something you can't control, but having a Season that does not have an equal amount of games available does not make sense. The only way to make this equal is to do Seasons by the week as is the current set up.....
Surely 12, 13, 13, 12 week seasons with 2 weeks break for xmas/new year is better?
