I'd bet bigger on the flop, but it seems fine.

Not entirely sure what you are after here
But just a few thoughts on the hand in general:
Preflop:
I can see why kathyoli is the SS minraising from the Hijack after a MP limper
Good hand for you to see a cheap flop IP...
Cant really fault snowflakecat for calling getting 7.5:1... atc are worth a flop at that price imho
After her 1/2 pot on the flop and with 2 players still in after you (even though they checked), I would lean to a raise here, as hands like TJs will call, probably putting you on something like KJ/KQ/Q9... AQ you would (?) have raised from the button, so probably wouldnt think that hand is likely. No one is likely to AK with that preflop action, so even though you dont have the nut straight, you very likely have the best hand.
Turn: The half pot lead from snowflakecat pretty much screams "I have a 9" there... With a bigger (closer to snowflakecat or more) stack I would lean toward flat calling, but with you determining the effective stacks in the hand (after kathyoli's fold), the shove there is probably the best way to get maximum value.
Yep, you did get somewhat unlucky with that river! But a chop is better than him having 92hh and rivering a h
Possibly, had you flat called the turn, he may have check/folded the river fearing an Ace in your hand, but without anymore information on him/her is impossible to say.
Edit: maybe i should keep things short like ALK, odd to write for 7 minutes to have somelese post cliff notes of your own in the mean time

Yeah I contemplated raising the flop but was trying to build value into pot. I think that's where I lapse often, my timing for raising isn't very good.

This is very dangerous to do when not holding the nut hand though, although as i previously said AK was unlikely given the preflop action.
Also, what better way to build value in the pot than by raising and therefore incresing the pot. Building pot value doesnt neccessarily mean keeping as many players involved in the pot as possible.

dude K9 is as good as the nuts here. if they have AK then just pay them off, but AK shows up here like 1% of the time

i do agree with this bit though. in this case, we are 37BB deep, and by calling the flop, you are risking not being able to get that all in.
if showflakecat just checked the turn, it would have been pretty hard for you to get your whole stack in by the river

AJG, you really need to make sure you word your posts carefully. this statement above is very ambiguous, and doesn't really tell the reader anything. if AK is basically not in the opponents range, then it is NOT a dangerous board to bet.
this statement tells me that you are not confident enough in your own game to tell someone what you think they should be doing, and you have covered both bases.
i dont want to enter into a discussion about whether you are confident enough or whatever, i just think it is better to be really clear about what you are saying in a post.
