AQ in the BB - Late Stages - 6 players

Postby trishan » Wed Mar 24, 2010 6:12 pm

Here's a hand from the pregame stretch.

The Villain is a solid player who has lost a few hands prior to this hand to questionable calls by Hero hence the comment in the chat box in this hand. Is this reverse psycology? What would you do?

Blinds $300/$600

princessruth $15,806
swingrav $29,897
GSC98 $1,110
Patrelli $6,995
Villain (SB) $20,849
Hero (BB) $35,864

Dealt to Hero [As][Qh]
4 folds
Villain calls $300
Hero Raises to $900
Villain calls

Flop [6d][Qs][7s]
Villain checks
Hero bets $900
Villain calls

New Pot: $3,600
Turn:[10d]

Villain checks
Hero bets $1800
Villain calls

New Pot: $7,200
River: [8d]
Villain Checks
Hero bets $3,600
Villain Raises All-in to $17,249
Villain in chatbox: "call tough guy"
Hero?
To call: $13,549

personally, i'd bet more like 2/3 pot on flop and turn, and probably check back the river,

but as played?

i got no idea. just call and then berate him in the chat box for half an hour when he flips J9 or something stupid.

Fold, and I think you should be checking back the river.

The hero and the villain is not necessarily me but yes I would definitely bet more on the flop and turn.

My bet sizing:
$1200 in $1800 on Flop
If Villain calls:
$3500 int $4200 on Turn

What do you folks make of the comment in the chatbox?

Fold every day of the week.

And the comment doesn't even play into it. Are you seriously going to call off in that situation with just top top?

I would fold. So Hero is not me for the record.

In this particular hand the history between the players comes into play. The hero lost two hands prior to this for about 40% of his stack and was clearly pissed at dubious d0nk calls, expressing his feelings in the chatbox after both hands.

This is 888pl. Idiots wake up here with KQ and QJ on occasions.

Just not very often.
