When they get an event it might.
Yes we have heard about this, it is basically the manager of Oz Poker buying the licensing rights to operate the NPL brand in SA.
Very similar to what FHG did, without the awesome teams of TC's, the infrastructure, equipment or competition systems.
EASY GAME!
But yes, of great concern to me is the confusion that players will experience and also the brand association players make with the NPL brand.

It might be a little more than that they could be in the process of setting up a similar process to 888. I know that npl has been working with full tilt in setting up some competitions, starting with the online Sundays and somee special events at venue to win in april

Re: NPL coming to adelaide
I heard that someone else bought it.
I think the only concern to 888pl is that NPL have all of our details from when we 1st registered with them & they can therefore market to us.
A good data base they bought themselves....

Re: NPL coming to adelaide
Well, I like the idea.
An old, previously successful company, sheds it skin and becomes and even bigger success with it's new colours on.
Crappy old league, swimming in it's own filth sees the left over skin and tries it on. Riding on someone else's coat tails can only get you so far, at the end of the day, outside poker beauty is only skin deep. It's what's inside that makes the outside shine. And the 888PL shine like a freakin super nova.
Good luck Oz Poker, you'll still need it!

Personally I don't think they will attract a loyal following. Ok, some may try it once (but not inhale!)
I am only speaking from a players point of view - I only hope the venues feel the same way.
