Just a question on the scoreboard points system?
do all the re-buy games qualify for the 3x points bonus, or do they only get the normal 1x points bonus?... eg. AK's Hairy Re-Buy, Murrin Mania, and the Re-Buy Frenzy

Re: Home Game score boards
interesting....
"Just as the name suggests, Foundation games were the beginnings of the 888PL. These are freeroll games where players are competing for points and prizes.
Foundation games come in plenty of formats and are available both Home (online) and Away (in venue). These games are coloured GREEN in the 888 Tournament lobby and run in regular timeslots."
"When 888PL players are ready to test themselves a little more they move over to the Challenge side of the 888PL Fixture. These games can be a little more serious as they involve a cash buy in. The actual amount staked varies according to the game type and structure. Online, these games are coloured BLUE in the 888 Tournament lobby and run in regular timeslots."
Here's a couple of 888PL Challenge Game Favourites:
Freeroll Rebuy Events - these games mostly occur online and players can play for free but if they want to increase their stack they can do so by buying in
Commencing in 2010 all Foundation Away events will have a T2000 start stacks for players as well as T2000 and T2000 for passport redemptions!
"In the Home Game environment we will reward all cash game players with a X3 points multiplier but for Foundation Home games there will be no bonus multiplier."

also Shadz...... keep in mind that enough conflicting info can be obtained/cut/copied/pasted from the 888pl site to quite possibly spell out the answer to the da Vinci code

Please post links of above mentioned conflicting information?
Also yes, rebuy events do have a 3x Points multiplier attached.

Re: Home Game score boards
conflicting information is probably a little harsh...possibly just my interpretation, i find the new website very informative, professional and well presented.
When 888PL players are ready to test themselves a little more they move over to the Challenge side of the 888PL Fixture. These games can be a little more serious as they involve a cash buy in. The actual amount staked varies according to the game type and structure. Online, these games are coloured BLUE in the 888 Tournament lobby and run in regular timeslots."
(ak's, murrin's, etc do not require a buy in)
"Freeroll Rebuy Events - these games mostly occur online and players can play for free but if they want to increase their stack they can do so by buying in"
"Online Home Games will also have a points multiplier. Challenge games will be worth X3 points multiplier as these events generally have far less players than Foundation Home games which will have a x1 multiplier."
(ak's, murrin's always start with 150 players)

Garth Kay wrote:Hi Guys,
At a the moment the results are correct up until the 11th of January. Hopefully tomorrow will see us complete to the 22nd of Jan.
I am hoping by Monday week that we are fully up to date and 100% functional, after that date it should be, AT MOST, 48 hours before you see the results after event completion.
Sorry for the delay guys and we are fixing things as fast as humanly possible!
Are we there yet?

All I know is that our statistics are not being sent to 888pl correctly and most players now do not know where we sit on the ladder.
At what point do we sit there and say, do something or we go elsewhere, or do we just continue to take their standard lines??
thought i would comment in this section becasue it is more on the topic.
Caroline has raised a good point here.
to be honest, the issue with the new website and scoreboards is really not good enough. in fact, it borders on unprofessionalism.
i dont think i have ever thought that about NPL/888pl before now, but i am starting to think that about the website.
i am not doubting that it is hard to get it all sorted out, but it has been months since the new website was launched, and there are still major issues with it. quite frankly, that is just not good enough. it is better to have no website at all than a partly functioning one.
sadly, i also think the communication from management downwards has dropped off in recent times. i am not just talking about on this forum, but also in venue. in earlier times, the opening speech would be used to let players know about upcoming promotions, etc etc. this doesnt seem to be happening any more. i am not having a go at the tournament directors, because i dont think it is their fault. i just think that over the last couple of months, 888pl has sort of gone into a standstill where nothing seems to be filtering down to the players.
i understand that you guys are busy, but i think that mean that solid lines of communication would be even more important.
granted, i haven't played much lately, and i didn't participate in the recent state finals or grand final, so my comments may be unfounded, but it is just the perception i have getting, rightly or wrongly.
the issue with the website really, REALLY needs to get sorted out soon, or players really will become frustrated and stop playing.
