Your are missing the whole point of what i have stated .
People playing the freeroll ,knowing very well that they are going to play the cash game .playing any hand ,taking people out with crap ,Then handing thier chips in because they have payed to play in the cash game .which registration begins 20+ minutes before end of 2nd break .
What i was lead to believe was , That freerolls were the 1st objective of 888PL . Cash games 2nd .Has this changed ?
My whole point was that the cash games should be played 1st .not everyone wants to play or can afford to the cash games !
I am not against cash games but when they interfere with the way the freerolls are being played i do not think it is right.

i.e freeroll @ venue other week . cash game being played on final table ,whilst 3 other cash tables going. Final table of freeroll was being played on 8 player table.Players were told they couldn,t move that 1 cash table "B.S" .

Do you think players would like this scenario in your venues ?

Ok we are the guinea pigs for 888pl . But i,d like to see how you feel if these things were tried in you venue ?

Feed back & suggestions you have asked for .please don,t criticize me ,i am just stating what a lot of players are saying @ my 2 locals "the guinea pigs"

666 agree with what you are saying.
If people are just playing the 1st game as a warm up for the cash game, you never know what type of player you are playing against.

Would be better i think to have the Cash Game 1st and just have say the top 16 from that game are allowed to participate in the free roll as they get eliminated they get reseated on a freeroll table with a set amount of chips.

Would not be hard to ask those who are left in the cash game if they want to play in the freeroll game, and distribute an amount of deadstacks accordingly among freeroll tables, so that when cash game players are eliminated, they are sat down with the correct amount of blinded away chips.

OK there are a couple of things to be added here I think.

I think everyone would agree that changing the "original foundation" game to a challenge game (or delaying its start time by two hours to accommodate for an earlier starting challenge game) would be absolutely horrible for all players involved in the points chase. For such a change to be made mid-season, we had to leave the original games with existing leaderboards as similar as possible. It is one thing to increase the stack size, but to delay the start time by 90 minutes would be too much.

I do apologise you feel this way Harps, but you would have been aware of the slow numbers decline in that area. It would be foolhardy of any company not to act on what was close to a 30% decrease in player/customer attendance. Agreed, the timing could have been better, but when a celebrity of the likes of Jeff Fenech is made available, you have to jump at the opportunity without delay.

You will now see a slightly revised blind structure that sees the primary tournament go on their second break at 9pm (9.30 for Tigers) which is the same time the secondary tournament will commence. Registration for the secondary tournament closes after the first blind level, which is at the time the players from the primary tournament resume play. We hope this will decrease the amount of players who intentionally bleed chips to try and get in the secondary tournament.

Like Garth said Harps, please persevere with what we are trying to do here. We have organised a $3,000 prize pool with Jeff Fenech and we hope to have players coming from far and wide to participate in this event!!

G'day Adam ,

But I believe the primary foundation tournament is the one being affected to the detriment of those players aiming for points. It seems unfair that players have to put up with "all ins" continually until 2nd break, which is NOT usually the case. A game of poker is what we attend for, not a game of bingo; as well as the company of good people.

Players are now getting very disheartened with the game and you will find that in the long run, you will lose players because of this.

At the moment it is a novelty which always brings in more and new players, but they will soon drop off when they are not enjoying the game anymore.

PS - I heard we revolve around the sun!!!

You asked for our views and opinions and this is mine - along with others at the venue - some of whom have a lot of trouble trying to find the forum nowadays.

Thanks Adam for your input.
