Garth: sorry, you have to go find someone that has already won a ticket and buy it off him for $500 instead of buying it from us.

Ben: wtf, why?

So is this a definate NO , to a direct buy in now ?

When was the cut off date ?
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !

but i think it is wrong to scalp them for prices higher than you could directly buy in for.

No, the comment about 5 guys winning 5 tickets each. If they have made the effort to do that, then they are entitled to do whatever they want with them. It is not for you to say that it is right or wrong....

I did, bought a 1000$ package On eBay for 650$ from a player that had qualified but couldn't make it. Cleared it with Garth before I bid.

The transfer rules do seem to be a bit ambiguous at the moment, hopefully they can clear it all up and make official rules for next season, so everyone knows what the deal is before they win multiple tickets.

Party on Wayne.

Ok.

1.) Entry into the Grand Final can either be won or bought into directly.
2.) If a player wins a seat or buys in directly they must have played at least 10 Away games.
3.) Direct buy in entries are limited as seating and entries will be restricted to 500 players or thereabouts every 6 months.
3.) The Value of a Grand Final seat is $500 AU, no more no less.
4.) All GF seats won for that particular GF.
a.) Secondary seats can be transferred to the next upcoming GF (see below)
b.) Special consideration will be paid to those who have legitamite reasons as long as a submission is made in writing to FHG before 14 days of event commencing.
5.) If a player wins multiple entries into the next upcoming Grand Final they can:
a.) Transfer 1 entry to the following Grand Final.
b.) Transfer other entries to players who meet the above criteria.
c.) Entries cannot be transferred to any future GF events beyond the next two GF events.

I think thats fairly clear and concise; should make everyone happy!?
Any discussion required?

Also I find the discussion on whether buy in should be permitted redundant. All Players who have bought into the last 2 GF's have been 888PL regular members who had failed to qualify via any of our satellites yet had tried. And even if they didn't I am not going to begrudge any 888PL player willing to part with $500 this experience.

It just means that there is a market out there for ticket purchases and it is a sellers market, just that multiple ticket winners didn't doa good enough job selling their ticket or staking deals.

For the record, if I was to have multiple tickets the staking deal would be $250 - $300 for the ticket and a 10 - 20% stake in any prize money. That is pretty low end standard.

1.) Entry into a Grand Final can either be won or bought into directly from the FHG or negotiate with another player for their seat.

2.) If a player wins a seat or buys in directly from FHG for the full amount or purchases a seat from another player for an agreed value. Then they must meet the following criteria set down by the FHG. They must have played at least 10 Away games in that season to be eligable to play in said GF!

3.) Direct buy in entries are limited as seating and entries will be restricted to 500 players or thereabouts every 6 months.

4.) The recognised Value of a Grand Final seat is $500 AU.

5.) All GF seats won are for that particular GF, unless the following conditions apply.

a.) Where possible, special considerations will be made to those who have a legitamate reason or reasons to request a deferal to the following GF event. Providing they have notified the FHG in writing of their situation no less than 14 days prior notice to the commencement of the event. The FHG reserves the right to either accept or deny the reasons given.

b.) Secondary seats can be transferred to the next upcoming GF.

6.) If a player wins multiple entries into the next upcoming Grand Final they can:
a.) Use the first entry for the GF in question
b.) Transfer 1 entry to the following Grand Final.
c.) Transfer/sell any additional entries to players who meet the above criteria as per item #2.
d.) Any additional entries cannot be transferred to any future GF events beyond the next two GF events.

Hi there Garth. I'm so glad to see you have actually written something on the GF tickets and how or when they can be used.

I have made some additions to your original post that I thought may be of some help.

I assume you will be adding the ticket issue" to the 888PL site some time in the near future.
