Yes, and they are. Usually.

Apologies for being swamped with work and forgetting.

IMO - removing/editing is the important thing. I'd rather edit a post and forget to PM than not edit at all.

I think it's reasonable to say that if you're going to complain about something you'd be well advised to check if you actually have a valid complaint.

Some things can't be mentioned, take a deep breath and get on with stuff.
