Gimp is 2nd to only photoshop and its free.

OpenOffice is free, why spend $$$$$ if you are just using it for word processing or spreadsheets. (I can understand if you need it for Access or Powerpoint though).

if you really must know, work had a deal where we could get office enterprise 2007 for $28. so yes, my copy is legit, at a huge discount obviously.

(and yes, i do use powerpoint all the time, as well as visio)
