For what it's worth, I don't believe Des would have folded his AK even if Bruce called the ALLIN bet. :)

I scoff at those who say my gut told me to fold, when in reality it should be based on previous patterns and experiences with players that dictate your actions. I don't think I am communicating very well or not this aspect, it is something difficult for me to verbalise right now.

And my whole post was directed at everybody. And trust me, the conversation won't make a like of difference to Bruce. He will continue to limp UTG with KK and 5 BB's. And for the record I am never folding AK to an early pos shove from a 5BB stack. NEVER

Ok, cool, i just read the "Finally - gut instinct - pfffffftttttt!" as a scoff, but prob not meant to be!

I suppose I can't really comment on how Bruce will take in the comments in this thread, being reletively new around here and having never met him, but I hope it as been helpful to some anyway.....

That last line's a big statement mate, I recon if you think back, there would have to be at least once that you have done this (or similar)...??

Bob, we are talking about Bruce going Allin pre (he was in first position), so Des had the option of folding to that, then of course the JJ would have called Bruce....

I once saw Bruce shove with AK from mid position.

True Story.

What?

It really happened!!!

He just shoved it in. He wasn't in the blinds or anything. He even had 3BBs and we were already in the points so he had every reason to fold down for more points.

Trust me, I was as shocked as anyone.

So to those who say Bruce is too tight, I give you this example as proof that there is hope for him yet!

I realise that Joe, but I was also confirming that had Bruce pushed his Kings ALLIN I'm almost certain Des's chips would have been in the pot just as fast.
