I've been noticing lately that there is an ever increasing amount of trash talk becoming among us regular players at certain events.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bit of freindly banter, but agressive trash talking, personal insults on the hands previous played, such as "how could you play K2 with a A on the flop!" I believe that it is not acceptable at the table. especially when your not in the hand and calling an the play.
I have on some occasions spoken up in defence of some players, telling the offender to back down, only to get flamed myself.
and i dont believe its in the spirit of the game to have to call over your TD and make a spectacle of the situation, so how bout we all grow up and stop this before it gets out of hand?

grrrr i HATE this two
i find it rude and off putting
i think it does not matter what hand you play its how you play it and the people around you that counts

Re: Table Trash Talk
VERSION TWO
So find me the rule that applies- in the NPL rule Book
table talk / trash talk all part of the game-- what does Hellmuth do - sportsmanship.
The crowd should respect the players playing
In the game of Tennis--
Tennis has a crowd silience rule as if affects the play/ers involved
Cricket/ Football has a free for all as its a team game.--Crowd comment part of the entertainment.
Chess not a mouse is heard.
So this I like /dont like should Table Trash Talk debate is just part of this Fine Game
if you cant play the cards ....baffle them with ' b sh*t .. some serious players cant handle the pressure or the banter eg JB
so there Yoderish hey
Bluff /reads/tells between players involved is a factor in this fine game
-- A stare down to me is a non verbal NOT TALKING vs a spoken comment. TALKING'TRASH TALKING.'
look the camera in the eye. if you dare !!

Re: Table Trash Talk
i reckon trash talk is alright, its normally in the heat of the moment anyway when a donkey beats u runner runner whatever but if it is constant i reckon the TD should be called over to sort the issue out, thats part of there job to make the tourney run smoothly
