Want to relive some of the highlights of the movies released this year without rewatching them all? Kees van Dijkhuizen recently posted a montage of clips from films that hit theaters in 2009 and it’s bound to give you chills. The pacing is impeccable, the soundtrack riveting and the clip selection striking, especially considering the massive amount of material that must have been sorted through.
Of course not every film of 2009 gets its time to shine in the seven-minute montage, but a massive amount is featured, including some of the greats and no-so-greats of the year. There are blockbusters like Star Trek, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Inglourious Basterds and even some lesser celebrated films like Phoebe in Wonderland, The Burning Plain, Sunshine Cleaning and, my personal favorite to see so well-represented, Whip It.
To a scary movie fan, the most glaring omission is the entire horror genre. No need to include Halloween II or Saw VI, but what about Paranormal Activity? I’m going to stop complaining now because this guy deserves some major credit. To be able to string together clips like this and make a video that’s wildly entertaining rather than monotonous is a major accomplishment. The Academy Awards need something like this!
Awesome! Awesome to the MAX!

I really want to watch that, but I'm scared of spoilers
Just spent the past hour watching movie trailers for most new releases of the year. I didn't hate The Karate Kid trailer as much as I thought I would. Its interesting that on its own I think it could be a pretty good movie, has all the formula etc, but everyone will go in with the mindset "what the hell, why is Daniel black and where the f*ck is Pat Morita?"
Daybreakers looks pretty cool.
I want the 3m I gave to Cop That back.
Extraordinary Measures - not much to see here except how much weight Brendan Fraser has tacked on.
Not sold on Clash of the Titans yet, looks too 300 esque - which SUCKED.
44 inch chest looks interesting. Original premise. Big fan of Ray Winstone and this Ian McShane character looks like he'll own the film.
Kick Ass (was that mentioned earlier?) looks like a rocking time. First movie trailer all night that actually hit me. Of course, anything with Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka McLovin) is win.
The Paranoids has been getting good reviews and seems like something I might be into, a little different.
Brooklyn's Finest does look pretty sick, nice find Nathan. Quality actors there (good to see Wesley back too).
Saint John of Las Vegas.. Buscemi. Silverman. Chirqui. AWESOME.
Ok, I think I'm done masturbating over movies now. Night ya'll.

Sexy Beast is in my top 5 all time films. This new outing re-unites McShane and Winstone - and I'm semi-aroused just thinking about it.
Also looking forward to Daybreakers - and don't forget; it's an Aussie film
Agree also with Kick Ass - should be nine kinds of awesome.
Shutter Island is another on my can't-wait-for list for 2010.

Do i have to post some of the Kickass comics up? And Wanted just so you guys can see how good the comic is to how bad the movie can be?
Seriously Mark Millar is awesome with his comics. But the movie conversion of wanted was so far off the mark compared to the comic that it came down pretty woeful. Still think it is an awesome comic story.

Godammit Scott that clip was AWESOME. THAT is why I love film. Is there a list somewhere of what movies were featured?
Daybreakers is Aussie? Well I'll be. I did wonder why Claudia Karvan was in it, seeing as she hasn't done much since Secret Life of Us - and who from Hollywood has seen that.
I'll have to check out Sexy Beast.
Kick Ass comics would be awesome, Brett.
