How do you convert MP4 songs to MP3 songs? Freeware

Anyone know of a good freeware programme that converts MP4 music file to an MP3 music file. My MP3 player doesn't do MP4 format. Thanks.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that VLC player has that function.

i use a program called Switch .google it pretty sure it does mp4 converts lots ..and is free !!

Hey Bruce - I was away this weekend (country NSW with no internet) so didn't get a chance to reply. Thanks for the reccomendation, I will try it out and let you know how it goes. :)
