That wouldn't be me your trying to chase there, would it? I dare say I have a better strike rate than most in the area but no doubt you will overtake me due to the low numbers in the Barossa region. How many of the top 10 have their points solely from the Barossa area I wonder? Pretty hard to compete with Gawler people with the numbers we get to our venues.

Yep :D

Definitely. You're an awesome player, something like 15 point finishes from 17 games. But yes, low numbers are definitely hurting you (and Bruce, Troy and Darrel).

You've just got to do well in games with big numbers (read: anything over 45). Russel's the one to watch, he's sitting 2nd and he's only got 11 point finishes. Shaun will be very hard to catch.

This ain't gonna help you Hausler, or Bruce. I snagged 7th at the Kingsford tonight. 52 points. Could've folded down for top 3, but nooooo, I had to get done on the chip leader hitting an Ace.

Edit: Oooooh, 2nd now. Nice.

Well, the past week has been very interesting.

With finishes of 3rd (45), 3rd (47), 2nd (53) and 8th (49) my "best 15 average" has jumped from 39 to 45, and with that, I'm now 1st in the B&G region.

2nd would be my good friend Shaun (43 average), who before Sunday had probably thought he had the $500 first prize wrapped up (as did I).

But its not over yet. There's still 5 games for me and Shaun and anything can happen. Now its just up to who can get better points finishes. We both have 15 point finishes, and our lowest is 32. To improve our average we would need to score 33 or more points.

Personally, I'm loving the battle we've got going. Tonight (game at the Kingsford) was fun. The rivalry was well known around the pub.

Bring on the final week!

What Bruce really means is <stares at Bruce> that he'd love to buy you a drink if only you ask him nicely beforehand.

At least, that's how I read it... isn't that right mate? :P
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
