im really tired of people soft playing mates and checking down hands... even showing the cards before the river because they were just going to check it down anyway
what a joke... and some of these people are so called "big time" players
im not going to name names, just letting it be known you are being watched
big brother is out there people!
i agree with des. on other hand some people might say i have soft played before. but i see now if i don't take my m8s chips off him, some one ealse is.
What do you mean, thats unrelated!

I know it is against the rules to show 1 or both cards before betting is complete and is a fold. But what is the ruling on saying what hand you have in the middle of betting? Does it make a difference if you are telling the truth or just bluffing?

You shouldn't be discussing the contents of your hole cards at any stage during a hand.

Re: Table Trash Talk
I know you shouldn't. But if some-one does is that a fold and then can I take the pot?

Re: Table Trash Talk
That is my understanding. Making statements about your hand that can unfairly influence the play should result in a warning at the very least.

Re: Table Trash Talk
It does depend though... if you're trash talking someone like BigPete or Scott, then it should be allowed and, in fact, they should probably give you a chip or two.
Will dance for your chips!
