So interesting you say this, and i have a story that backs it up.

Woke up to day two of the GF to find out i'd be sitting to the right of one of my best mates in poker in Krunchie. I think, how the hell am i gonna play against him. My plans for the morning had been to be aggressive early, pick up some blinds and build my stack back up. I had lost a 70k race the last hand of day one with AK into QQ.

The downside was, that all the previous night, we had talked about our strategy for the next day - so krunchie knew i would be looking at getting blinds - his blinds.


The second hand of the day, its folded to my small blind, and i make a standard raise, fully expecting to take down the pot there and then. All of a sudden krunchie shoves!! WTF, i dont wanna knock out my mate - i had a decent but not great hand, but was he making a move??

I folded after a while and asked krunchie if he had JJ. He said yeah, and i said, nice hand man i had KQ.


Anyway, i was knocked out about an hour later with AK into AA, but at the lunch break krunchie came up to me and said “hey man, i lied before, i actually had TT”. I said, thats ok dude, i only had K9 and i was hollywooding so i could steal your blinds later.

So it just goes to show that poker players will even lie and try and deceive their greatest mates on the felt.

Yep! Its worse if you get caught out there and then, like i did a few weeks ago.

An ace of spades and 2 other spades flopped out and i bet at it thinking i had the K spades. After everyone folded i looked down a saw i had the K of clubs. Someone said did u have K spades? I said yes just as dealer is announcing K spades was one of burn cards!
