Yes Mini Bats are on sale, pricey item though - $20 which includes a $5 donation to the Shane Warne Foundation.
This is probably a really dumb question, but can we confirm these are going to be signed? Friend at work has a couple of Warne crazy nephews and is going to organise some cash for signed bats.

Assuming of course Warney has any strength left for signing after shaking benny the cunt's hand for half an hour.

why are the tables 10 handed?

im not sure if other people, agree, but i really really hate 10 handed tables. the strategy is really quite different (but thats a side note), and im not sure why it is necessary to go to 10 handed.

furthermore, in a self dealt tourney, i think its important to make it easy for players to deal, and using the oval tables does not help this one little bit. in fact, in my experience from the first berri deepstack, its downright frustrating when people attempt to pitch cards the whole length of the table, even though everyone is telling them not to. the second berri deepstack was played on 8 handed tables, and i thought it was much better.

since this tourney will be a very significant amount of money, exposed cards might cause some pretty big arguments to take place.

for the sake of 5 or so extra tables, why not just stick to 8 handed tables?

Ten handed or eleven handed is the way most deepstack tournaments commence. As the field is whittled down you then move to nine handed or eight handed.

And wait until you play on these tables before you comment on the dealing errors that may occur.

And finally there is no way in the world I am playing a tournament of this calibre in an 8 handed format. No tournament should ever be played 8 handed all they way from start to stop.

Why are the Last Chance qualifiers given seats on tables, 3,4,5,6 & 7, you'd think those seats would be given to the players that who have already qualified. I would've thought that these seats would've been allocated to the bottom end of the draw?

But im sure there's a valid reason for this

Because that's they way it worked out in the end. Time of qualification or buy in has little impact on seating allocation.

fair enough. i know that 10 handed is standard, but i was just concerned about the dealer errors. but as you say, the new tables will prolly get rid of that

ok, another question.

will people be rotated through the feature table during the day?

firstly, it would be great to go sit on there for a couple of hours and play, secondly, its probably a disadvantage for muzz and aaron and mike to be sitting on such a strong table with each other all the time.

obv warnie would stay on that table, but will other people be rotated through there other than just due to knockouts?

benny the cunt - have you played on the new tables? The new ones are quite nice and the cards slide nicely along the felt. At the Vic Semis we were all struggling to stop cards sliding too much so I envisage the dealer would be able to slide cards along to players on the tables quite easily.

Speed felt is a fabric that creates more friction between the card surface and the felt.

The chance of exposing cards is reduced by almost 90% compared to standard felt.

We ran with the new tables over the Vic Finals weekend and I saw two hole cards exposed the entire weekend.

You just simply glide one card from one end of the table to the other.
