I often overbet all-in with similar hands with the blinds and stacks such as they are. Takes all the work out of it.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

yeah, especially if it leaves you with an awkward stack size on the flop, which it did in this case.

also, if you raise to 4K and you miss, you only have 12K left, and your fold equity goes way down the next time you shove.

but 16K is still a serious dent if they lose a flip, so your FE is still fairly high.

also, 1 double up now puts you at nearly chip leader, so its not horrible if you do get called.

Thanks guys. Pretty much as soon as i raised to only 4k (and got a caller) i thought, fark, this leaves me in any number of crappy post flop situations, and i should have shipped it pre. The reason i didn't ship pre was that i had built my stack up to 16k (from about 10) through a number of uncalled shoves, so betting a smaller amount here almost looks stronger (or so i thought).

You should have looked in Todd's desk drawer. From what I hear you would have found something that would have tickled your pickle...literally...
