So what do people prefer?
And what are your reasons for predominantly play a particular type?
Personally i have swapped back between each on numerous occasions, but can never really settle on a favourite. I'd love other peoples thoughts on this.
EDIT: good question scott, wanna know about cash games here.
6-Max or Full Ring Cash Games.

Re: 6-Max or Full Ring Cash Games.
and what game?
For cash, I like my 6max for PLO (really starting to take a liking here), and 9 player (don't really like 10) for NLHE.
Whilst I've not played many MTTs with 6max, I've cert played my fair share of SnGs and can't really see me enjoying the MTTs - applies for NLHE only, can't speak for tourneys for PLO.

I like 6-max cash games NLHE. Have not really tried 10-max or 9-max cash games.

Mainly talking about holdem here. What has/does influence peoples choices on which game to play?

I prefer 6max, as I'm more LAG than usual and find myself FR too nitty.

I prefer full ring for cash holdem games, suits my style better and I can play 5+ tables without too much stress (have tried 6 player with the same amount of tables and it just doesn't work well)...

Yeah I know what you mean - with 6 max I can only play 3 tables at once. I tried 4 once and it was touch and go. 5 is out of the question...

Re: 6-Max or Full Ring Cash Games.
6max in cash games is definitely the way to go imo.
this is because u can use your post flop advantages (assuming we have them) a lot more.
if you get an uber fish on the table, it doesn't really matter where they will sit, you will play lots of hands with them. (but obviously the closer to your right they are, the better)
but similarly, if you are sitting at a tough table, it makes it a lot harder, as the good players will make it tough for you time and time again.
so i think that 6max is the best, provided that your table selection is good
