Who's your favourite TD and why?

Definitely keep bad points about the TDs (and whoever) out of the forum and in to the email of the state operations manager. Those sort of things here don't achieve anything!

I'd like to encourage debate and opinions, but a certain amount of tact needs to be used I think.

although have never won one i have played at west lakes and thought that alex was a pretty good tournament director, he rembers everyones name and occupations and gives a fanfare at final table wich is quite exciting (eg in position ? your name and chip stack plus occupation ) like being on tv?

Having only played at the Alma, Crows Tav and The Lakes, I don't really have a whole bunch to choose from.

I have no idea what the names of the 2 women who run the Alma nights are - they do a very professional job, but not very inclusive. Nothing wrong with what they do, but they only really seem chatty/friendly with people who they see lots.

Alex and Barbra on the other hand not only run a very slick night, but are very inclusive and make everyone part of the night. My first night playing where they hosted, they were very friendly, asking peoples names, generally making poeple welcome.

Well thats my 2c worth anyway.

Tim is a very good TD.. James is fun..
my number one is Matt Porter.. he is great.. and yep he can talk.. he he.. we love you Matt.. but i must say Jane is the best.. poker pro and hard working TA.. Matt will be lost and lonely if he have to work alone at the Grand.. can the boss keep Jane there please.. we will go there just for her..

That's a hard one, but I have to say Darren even though he was nicer with blonde hair!! He has fun but stays focused (when he's working) Always have a laugh at the Bremen.

I also enjoy Tim's tournaments, he's always helpful and friendly, besides I got my State Final from one of his tournaments.

I have to mention Linda as well - like her style - you go girl!!!

I like Marcia from the Hotel Royal MOSTLY because she dealt me awesome hands on my way to an unlikely, but powerful victory.

She is also quite easy on the eye
