See, I think there is.. Online, I'm not frustrated by slow dealing. My bet sizing is better, because I know instantly the pot size. More hands means I'm also more patient...

The actual cards I play don't differ much, but its what I do with them that differs somewhat online to live.... I'm more likely to bet at a 3 card flush flop online for example.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

IMHO there is a huge difference between online and live play.

The skill level of online players compared to live as well as the aggression factor is generally quite large.

live players are more or less skilled? it is certainly more aggressive online.

my point is that if you are really good at online poker, then you are almost certainly really good at live poker too. one type will certainly suit you more, and you may be better at one rather than the other, but in general terms people are never awesome at online but horrible live or vise versa.

people that say they are only good at live and not good at online or vise versa are probably not good at either. a good player will adapt their game to the different game styles, even though one form might suit him better.

I can tell you right now that someone who is classified as a good live player cannot and more than likely will not make the transition to online.

Whilst an online player can be good at live games and online most live regs cannot make the transition to the faster paced and more aggressive online game.

There is a huge amount of difference between the two environments and the abilities of those who perform at the top levels of each environment.

Look at the environmental factors for starters, online; faster hand rates, less decision time, no physical requirements to handle chips or cards, no physical tells to examine, click timing tells, more mathematical game and opponents have a greater understanding of the maths and science behind the game.

ok fair enough, i am talking from the perspective of being predominately an online player, and probably a fairly mathematical one at that.

It will be interesting to see what "DreamTeam Membership" actually means....

From 888pl.com.au :

The top 5 players will then form a part of the 888PL Dream Team, many bonues prizes and experiences will be offered by 888. But 888PL will continue to offer players at least $20,000 in cash and prizes.

Anybody have any ideas about the many bonus prizes and experiences? Are they determined and secret or still to be determined? I just want a 888pl hoodie with my screen name on it to wear to my Friday night 888pl game. The diehards would be extremely impressed.... My "Online Tournie Winner" card protector made me the most popular guy in the room last week.
If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.

I have just sent an email to 888 asking for verification on the prizes.

There will definitely be Dream Team Merchandise, as to the rest I can't say yet.
We are not trying to be secretive we just need 888 to sign off on it.
