The Dream Team SCB is that way now, yes, completely agree. But your solution does nothing to rectifying the inherent problems laid within the Dream Team calculations and achieving the goals we have set for the DT SCB. I have identified the problems with the DT score board and I have offered solutions to this problem.

Completely scrapping the DT (which is in effect what you are asking here) does not rectify the problems faced.

Have one last online freeroll offering a million points for first. everyone play off. winner takes first on DT scoreboard. Problem solved.

it does, because of the differences in field sizes. it means that the large field sizes from the freerolls are segregated from the challenge games

I don't see why everyone is still complaining about how the DT board is structured. I'm pretty sure that the BionicMike finished 2nd (or made FT at least) in the last GFF (the one that was supposed to be removed from the lobby, but wasn't because 888 forgot). So if anyone has anything to be pissy over, it should be me (notwithstanding Trishan's/benny the cunt's arguments, but you guys knew what was happening all season).

I could be wrong on that last GFF and Mike's placing, but if I'm not, I'm fine with it anyway. Its how the system works. *shrugs* The system is the way it is, and it won't be changing until next season. Bitching and moaning will solve nothing - Garth has heard everyone's complaints, and said that there will be no more "GFF's" (read: tournys with mega points) next season.

Hey CT, I made FT at Sugargum last night. Was down to 2500 at the 1000/2000 level and then managed to get up to 30K. A few bluffs gone wrong and ended up on FT with about 20K. Came 8th after my 10 10 was beat by A 2. Sick.

So how about I just award 1,000 points for first, 800 points for second, etc.... all the way down to 20th for all finishing places irrespective of field size or type of game? That erradicates that problem then doesn't it?

I like our points structure and the way it works, I think with a change in the qualification method with a tweaking of the calculations used for average and a weighting or seeding of events we will see a more evenly balanced score board.

And for the record, there will be large field events in the future which will contribute points to the scoreboard, they just won't be as prolific.

I know that when push comes to shove I have build a bridge and get over it. It just sucks that I will not make the DT even though I think I deserve to be up there. I feel hard done by but that's life.

I shoved preflop with [Ac][Kc] in lp for 12000. BB had [Kh][Ks]. 1000/2000 blinds

There goes my foundation qualifier.

See, here's the thing. I don't think you do deserve to be up there.

With the system that's up in place, the system that we've all been working towards... the top 5 in the DT deserve to be the top 5. Sure, the GFF situation might not be completely fair, but we've all known the situation since week 1. Its been like this since week 1. There is no reason to suggest that you are disadvantaged because of the GFF's.

Edit: Godammit, AK<AQ in the pregame just now. Down to 4bb.

Edit 2: 10bb now!
