Overnight epl scores

Birmingham 1 - Portsmouth 0
Burnley 1- man U 0 -
Hull 1 - Spurs 5 ( Defoe hat trick)

Liverpool 4 - Stoke 0 :D :D
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

what is wrong with the diamond formation? it just gives the chelsea players a lot more time in the middle of the park and has cole and bosingwa playing more of a wing back role. The Lampard, Deco, Essien and Ballack is the best mix i have seen with Essien playing a lot more defensive

Anelka didnt play against Sunderland, we had Drogba up front with Kalou sitting right behind which i wasnt convinced of

still dont rate you guys without alonso, that tottenham game showed a lot of problems with gerrard having to go back into a normal midfield role

I think a diamond formation will leave you exposed against a team with any kind of decent wingers. Very strong in the middle though, as you pointed out.

You should have watched the Liverpool v Stoke game. 100% improvement. Absolutely destroyed them. Only real differences to starting 11 was Benayoun started on left wing (Babel got dropped altogether) and Skrtel was injured so Ayala started in central defence.

Interestingly, last season against Tottenham and Stoke we got less points for the same fixtures. Loss and a draw then vs a loss and a win now = 2 points better off so I guess that's positive.

Tottenham look really good at the moment, fully expecting them to push for top 4.

Anyone do any tipping for EPL? I'm backing Burnley against Everton (Burnley home game). Burnley just beat Man Utd whilst Everton lost 6-1 to Arsenal and also had to play midweek in Europa League. I don't think Everton have the squad depth to back it up properly. 2 home matches in a row for Burnley should see them maintain that high.

West Ham v Tottenham should be an interesting match too, looking forward to seeing how West Ham go.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

It won't happen Steve :) City are still only winning 1-0 against average sides. It will take them a while to gel, and even then their manager is poor tactically.

Liverpool really should have won this morning. Missed a glorious chance for an early goal which would have completely changed the tone of the match as Villa certainly didn't come to play. I'm sure they'll appreciate the 3 goals that were handed to them on a platter :) No idea what Gerrard was thinking to give away that penalty.

How on fire are Tottenham at the moment though?

And Burnley :)

Man Utd play Man City the game after next (is a utd home game) so it will be interesting to see how City go, particularly if Man Utd still don't have their main central defenders fit.
