Re: Tournament Registration Timing Problem Solved
ajg, i have tried both versions of your software and they didnt work. not sure why
first time i used the first one, and i was logged in, window was minimised.
for some reason, nothing happened, but i was home in time.
tonight, i used the latest version of your program. i was not logged in, and the windows were not minimised. when i got home, the "registration is free" popup was there. so the program didn't "click ok" on this screen, and thus i wasn't registered.
i am running vista if that makes a difference.

Yeah I just skipped over pretty much all of what you wrote Aaron
The perspective that I think may have been missing is blindly trusting something for no real reason written by a person you don't know yadda yadda yadda.
I'm sure you realise most people are super duper uber unbelievably gullable.
That's all I'm getting at, that and I don't know you therefore I don't trust you simply based on that. Nothing personal, just a rule of mine.
Good of you to post the source code etc though.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Tournament Registration Timing Problem Solved
Hmm benny the cunt, I havent tested on Vista as I don't have easy access, but noticed when compiling, there is an option for Vista's UAC. I left this at default 'none' previosly, but have now set this to 'Highest Available' (choices are none, As Invoker, Highest Available and Require Administrator) so hopefully that should fix any Vista issues, but from your post it seems it IS clicking the 'Register' button, so not quite sure... Might be a timing issue also, but it was set to pause 3 seconds between actions, but I modified to 5 just to be sure....
I also thought it might be a screen resolution issue, I run at 1680x1050, and I tested it at 1024x768 and 1920x1050 (highest I can go) and it still worked fine for me. I hadn't really thought of screen resolution issues before, but it seems like they have no effect anyway.
So here is final version. Exe now works fine, seems it was just a variable name conflict error in compiled version, bug has been reported to AHK support.
I have just registered and unregistered for a tournament 10 times, all successfully, so I can't see why it wouldnt work for others?
This zip contains a folder structure:
So you can run the exe, or if you choose, the script if you have AutoHotKey installed.
Moderator(s), please remove other versions if possible?
Edit: I have. Didnt think to edit own posts and delete file...

Re: Tournament Registration Timing Problem Solved
have you tested in with multiple screens? would that even make a difference? (i have a 22" at 1680x1050 and a 24" at fullhd)
yeah the first time, it clicked register, but not "ok". maybe it was slow, and took longer than 3 seconds to register.
even making it 10 seconds wouldn't make it an issue.

Re: Tournament Registration Timing Problem Solved
Multi screens shouldnt be an issue, but to be sure I just tested it with my 2nd monitor enabled (usually it isnt) to extend desktop horizontally. Edit: and it still worked...
Is the 24" your main screen?
But screen res shouldnt be an issue, as i tested it at 2 very different resolutions as stated above and it worked both times.
Here is a version with 10 second delays and also it makes a sound when it mouse clicks so you can tell exactly when it is, if it still isnt working, I don't know what to do, but hopefully it was the Vista UAC, which I changed in last version...
Do you see the mouse move to the 'OK' button? and is it on the button, or just off?
I set it to click as close to the centre of the buttons as I could...
You can do what I did in testing and set the time to register you in a minute or two from when you run the app...
