State of Origin Team Event!!

As you all know I am from Queensland! Up there we have a Team Tourney once a Month and getting on Average 150 Teams, meaning 300 Players in total! They also have Sponsors on board and high profile people, such as sporting stars and the like! But in respect to 888 I will not reveal the name of the PL that produce this event on the forum Because they are apl!

Since I have been down here 3 months now, there has been talk about a team event but nothing more! I have played in many team events and I really enjoy it and puts a whole new meaning to Poker strategy! But I understand it's not for everyone and I fully respect that I also fully understand the amount of work Involved as I have been Involved in so many of them! This is the best way to sum it up, Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress and Working together is success.

I just wont you all to know I am here and more then willing to give up my spare time to make it work!!

Yes Dekota Your onto it, sorry that's what we call a Team Event back home when 2 players Join each other to play at a Poker Tourney as a Team, So I guess I was way off the mark on how you guy's run it down here so I apologize for the miss understanding!

How we do it back home, we get 2 players (who ever you wont on your team) What happens is Every 20 Mins the Players Swap, meaning both play with the same stack, just one gets out of the Chair and the team mate steps in! It seriously it is so easy to run! Thats why I was a little surprised when people made it sound far harder or worse then it was, because we were all confused, but now Thank you to Dakota, I now understand you were miss reading me (feel free to do that around the poker tables to lol)

Honestly guy's it is a hell of a lot of fun, like I said I have been Involved in many of them up in Qld and it makes poker so much more Interesting when you not just thinking about you and your stack, it's about WE It continues like any other Normal Poker Tourney, other then every 20 Mins The clock stops and once all hands are Complete, the Tournament will continue once teams have changed over, it's seriously that easy

I enjoyed the Partners events I've been involved in.

I enjoyed the teams event, even though my team was cobbled together last minute.

Shannon, I think your idea has merit, just not in Season 1 of 888pl... give it some time, and I'm sure it will be seriously discussed by 888pl.

They had a Partner event at Settlers not that long ago, hopefully Season 2 Semi/Grand final weekend might have one.

I don't expect this to happen over night but it will happen

We used to run it where you have a Break Every 2 hours, as you swap every 20 mins, you get Plenty time for Toilet Breaks and Smoke breaks and what ever else you need to do We also had a Re-buy Chip, which was given to teams that Had there Team Registered 30mins before the Tourney was scheduled to start! (This was very strict so it would get people there early to help support the venue that would be holding the Tourney) This Re-buy Chip could be used to re-buy if your team is knocked out before the first break, but if you still have the Re-buy first break, then you will get a chip up for it!

Not sure how you Registered for it here, but we Used Register Teams with a "Team Name" and they would be known by that through out the Tourney! People used to get right into the team thing by even having Shirts made and stuff, it was very funny at times, some used to go in Fancy dress lol.

They can be treated as fun Events or Cash Buy in Events, such as $20 a Team, Female Male Team only as well.... Sky's the limit really and I fully Understand for Season one, it would be very hard to make this all work right now as there are many other Bridges to cross, but seriously I hope it becomes something in the Future, because they are soooooo much fun
