$25k Foundation Semi Qualification

Postby DaveL » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:56 pm

Hi all

There's a bit of confusion at the moment as to how to qualify for the $25k Semi Final. Players at a couple of venues are hearing that it's only the top 5 from home and away venues that will qualify, and the Top 50 Leaderboard will not automatically qualify this season. One of our TCs is unsure about this aswell.

Can anyone out there clarify for me? Would be nice to know just how safe my qualification is at the moment (damn shift work)

888PL $25K Foundation Semi Final
Every season will see the culmination of all Foundation efforts finalised in the $25,000 Foundation Semi Final.
The top 5 on each game leader board, from both Foundation Home (online) and Foundation Away (in venue) game leader boards, will qualifty for this event with $25,000 in cash and prizes.
The TOP 6 from the Foundation Semi Final will each win a seat into the 888PL Grand Final (valued at $500).
The tournament will be a deepstack event with T5,000 in start stacks and twenty minute blind levels, this will give all of you grinders ample time to play conservatively and build your stacks.

Venue/Away/State (call it what you will) Top 50 do qualify? Excellent. Just a little more comfy with that....

Just to confirm!

We have allowed the top 50 on the Away Leader Board to qualify.

Players who simply can't get enough poker have the chance to compete in the richest leader board competition.

Each season 888Poker League gives away $2000 to the best of the best in the state.

The state leader board is all about consistency rewarding the top 10 averages across the state. To compete for your share of the $2000 bounty simply play 15 tournaments in any given season and you qualify for an average. Your average is then calculated from your best 15 games which means if you keep playing you will keep improving your average!

Finish in the top 50 on the state leader board and you also qualify for the Foundation Semi Final. (Note: Qualification for the state final is taken from the state leader board first and the venue second providing an opportunity for the 6th-10th place finishers in a venue to qualify under the right circumstances).

The state leader board is split using the following break down:

1st - $1,000
2nd - $600
3rd - $400
