$50 Steve, no joke.

If any of Villa, Tottenham or City get in it will be because Arsenal have slipped up.

If Everton sell Lescott they won't get in either.

Mascherano isn't going anywhere either.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I did?

I was always sure Mascherano was staying, less sure about Alonso.

But ok, when did you want to commit your $50 to me? Start of season or end of transfer window? :)

Anyone watch any of the A-Leagues opening round?

I managed to catch Adelaide v Perth, North Queensland v Sydney, and Brisbane v Gold Coast.

All 3 games had a lot of really pleasing aspects.

Adelaide played a lot better than I thought they would, with the reverse being true for Perth. Adelaide simply dominated the midfield and essentially choked Perth out of the match.

In the first half of NQ vs Syd I was happy to believe NQ would finish bottom of the ladder but from just before half time right through to the end of the match I'd say there's no way they'll finish in last place. They played some really good stuff and really only lacked some good final passes to finish off some great moves. How good was Spagnuolos dummy that won them a penalty?

Brisbane v Gold Coast was a very entertaining match. Culina is awesome - no doubt about it. Smeltz's goal was very good and he will definitely benefit from the good service he is bound to get. Joel Porter also looked very good. I look forward to watching that derby match any chance I get, I think it was 5 yellow cards for each team? Loved it.

The Adelaide game showed a great start by both sides in terms of intensity and having a crack. I agree the final third was almost non-existant, but I'll make some allowances due to shortage of fit strikers.

Gold Coast has a reasonable away strip, their home strip if pretty gross.

NQ's is by far the worst though, ugh @ lime green.
