I actually don't think there is much to discuss about this hand = You got it in goot and he drew out on you; your read was correct.

Points about about this hand that you can discuss if you really wish to break it down:

1.) Raise on the button to isolate w. marginal holdings, but you do retain position?
2.) Read on opponent - especially pre flop?
3.) Could pre flop raise have been greater instead of standard 3x?
4.) Flop bet really looks like a missed c bet, I have no history or stats on how you are playing, but just over half the pot in position smells ugly.
5.) Flop bet has made opponent spew, HUGE overshove, what do you do?

Next time AJG, don't post the result.

Instead post to the point where a decision needs to be made. This will really get them thinking and responding rather than discussing the beat.

Yeah, probably the thing I would most change is the pfr... I didnt adjust for the antes (made the mistake of forgetting them being distracted actually). One question though... How can I lose position from the button?

Preflop, I gave opponent's MP limp quite a wide range as I had seen him minraise from similar positions with 98s, but so far (probably 40mins on same table) had yet to see him limp an Ace (maybe he had, but it wasnt revealed).
Opponent had basically quartered his stack within about the last 2 orbits prior to this on extremely loose and aggressive plays, so I also considered a bit of tilt in his shove. Obviously a good move if he thought he could get me to fold, but given his play recently, that was none too likely with any Ace. And I also kinda wanted him to read my flop bet as a c-bet and raise so I could shove over him . Again, Id seen him do this a few times, once to me when I did fold to his raise (but that time I did miss completely). And had this happened I wouldnt have really minded a call, but would have been aiming for a fold. It wasnt an instacall by any means, I even used some extra time in considering. At most I gave him 8 outs, putting him on either a flush draw or an OESD or maybe a strong J, making me about a 70% favourite. As I said, the thing most unusual in my play this hand was the pfr. I always raise more when antes are in play, both to put more pressure on and pickup the pot pre, and also to reduce the odds opponents are getting on any calls.

Although any discussion of the hand was welcomed when I posted, I mainly posted because of the four flush board to beat me... Had just replied to Nevah play JJ's 'Disheartened' thread, maybe it would have been better posted there, or if I had mentioned that in OP.
