I have tried to say in a number of threads that I listen to all advice about hands, wether they are hands I am involved in or not. I also will try most in play, never meant I simply discarded advice out of hand... I replied in a PM to Garth (only cos thread got locked) that I usually give quite a bit of thought to any advice, will usually try to implement it, then decide wether I incorporate into my game permanently...
In most situations I would still fold 66 preflop to a decent raise, certainly to a raise with callers before me, but I was fairly sure the pot would be HU, and it was a shorthanded game. I figured the BB would need a very strong hand to call there...

Yes Pete, while I said being a button open raise opened up your range in my mind, I still gave you credit for a hand. When you pushed on the flop, I thought u had a big Ace and didnt want any flush chasing. Slightly ridiculous I know, but part of the reason I called, was that I had probably had 12 PPs already in that tournament and had yet to make a set. I was kinda thinkin 'Surely its due soon/now?'... Well I was right, just a bad hand to hit a set on!
Still, not the way I usually think about hands...
I guess from that push that you didnt think I had an Ace either? or possibly a weak one?
What would you have done had I pushed the flop? I have run this hand in the reverse a few times, playing different scenrios like this, so interested to hear your answer...
Image ...11.59% of bad beat stories are just misplayed hands ...

Yep, already said I was convinced you didn't have an ace.

Set didn't occur to me at all as didn't have you on a low PP.

Didn't think you were chasing anything cos you bet 2/3 of the pot.

Pretty much just had you as thinking I was trying to steal and that a reasonable bet size of 2/3 the pot should scare me off.

Not sure what I would have done had you pushed on the flop, the answer might be different given hindsight so I guess we'll have to go back in time and try things differently :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
