access to resources would be the main reason why they dont improve i reckon

if your country is sooo poor that it can't buy food, then a good cricket team isn't exactly high on the agenda.

they are cricket mad in bangladesh, similar to india and pakistan

Whoa, hang on.

You just agreed before that they HAVE improved, now you're listing reasons why they wouldn't?

I'm asking you why you think they HAVE.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

ok

obviously teams are going to improve playing against decent opposition for any length of time, and i think they have improved

but i dont think they have improved anywhere near enough to be rated as a legitimate test nation. i think the lack of facilities is one area that impedes their continued improvement.

does that make sense now?

It's less unclear :)

You also said they wouldn't be deserving of their test spot if they couldn't beat a 2nd rate windies team (or words to that effect).

They've accomplished that now (nicely done) and they have shown some improvement.

Surely that all points to them being deserving of their current test status?

Going by that logic I'd make it into the 2nd rate windies side and Melbourne will be AFL premiers in 2009.

all of our remarks are "wow, bangladesh won, even if it is against a windies second side"

if they are truly worthy of test status, there should be absolutely no doubt at all that they were going to beat them.

this is what i am getting at

No, that's what you're getting at NOW :)

Hopefully they can continue to improve and we get to remark on them beating someone else, 2nd string or not.
