So it's ok to cap points for a large event but not a small one? :)

The thought I presented was more aimed at having a generous cap size.

Example:

Foundation Away (current average of 45 runners) - cap the points at something that probably won't be consistently reached like whatever the points would be for 100 or 150 runners.
Challenge Away (current average of 35 runners) - similar but capped at what the points would be for similar to the Foundation Away.

Can then apply whatever weighting you like to try and keep the player preferences where you'd prefer them from a business standpoint.

Can't see how that's similar to basing it on finishing position.

Just an idea, use it if you want to, I'm not in charge :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Garth, re the rebuys;

So the rebuys are filling the $500? Its not a $500 gtd anymore - 888pl players are paying to fill the ticket?

It is still a GTD tournament, you should know what happens when you guarantee a prize pool in poker.

But the rebuys do go towards filling that prize rather than distributing the funds back to players. As I said previously we may need to look at running another four weeks where the rebuys are returned to players.

And yes the Monthly Qualifiers are available for direct buy in.

It's like the Sunday Million

Million dollars guaranteed - but 99% of the time, the buyins will exceed that.

Maybe Aaron is thinking of the $500 added tourneys, where $500 is added to the total prizepool by the respective site.
