Garth, wtf do you want it to show?

Consistency? (that's consistently good, not consistently bad)

Best overall results over a period of time regardles of consistency?

Combination of both?

None of the above?

Until that's actually declared, there's no way to have a reasonable discussion on if that's actually being achieved or not.

I think you can see, very subtle like, that I wish it to display a combination of both. Consistency is a good measure of a poker player, but winning or placing high in large tournaments is also a good thing.

Another thing to consider is that many "good" players in our league cannot commit to the volume of games that others can, by offering points at larger events this only makes these events even more attractive to the upper echelon of players (as well as mass volume players).

They're are negatives and positives, I am willing to wait a couple of seasons to see the impact but right now I like the way it is going.

I am going to give you two options here, I will buy you into the WSOP ME every year for ten years you have two options on your performance. Which performance do you honestly think you would prefer and is the greatest:

1.) Min cash 6 years out of the ten.
2.) Win the ME once out of the ten years but do not cash any other years.

Bugger it not even win but Final Table.

I realise the topic has been going for a while and I may be a litle late but!!!!
Didn't Porky do the same thing when he won the PG1000 which catapulted him into first spot on the leader board over the Duc who had worked his arse off all season only to be beaten by Porky's major win??

garth, lets change your example slightly.

what if you bought me into every event in the WSOP this year, and i won 3 or 4 bracelets in side events, but some no-name took down the main event.

who is the better player? who should be rewarded more?

6 of one half dozen of the other really.

Depends on the events and the field sizes, but still an unbeleivable achievement. But it's still all about winning a tournament in class fields or large fields.

In the end it is all relative. And I believe that placing in a tournament of 200+ should be recognised on the scoreboard, no matter if it is their only win or not and even if it does "skew" the averages.

You still need a further 14 decent finishes to be competitive.

The Dream Team Scoreboard is a goal for all players, it is not just about consistency but amazing achievements; such as winning a big field tournament, irrespective of what it is for or what type of event it is.

If someone won two Grand Final Freeroll/rebuy tournaments do you think that this accomplishment merits some recognition on the scoreboards?

If you won a 1,000 person tournament, the biggest in 888PL/NPL history do you believe that this player should merit a place in the Dream Team or a leader board that tries to represent the best players 888PL has playing?
