Forums as far as I know are designed to allow freedom of speech....I'm not the one who started with " u idiot" name calling rubbish etc etc. I get called an idiot/moron and that's ok? Don't get me wrong I'm not going to go and cry about it but when I retaliate, it's the end of the world.
The posts I am writing are my feelings about the subject in the "FORUM". To have posts deleted/blocked for responding to a clown (your mate sorry) who wants to start a name calling game and posts "when my mother dies he is making fun of her". For all you and he know my mother died 3 days ago from cancer but that post is "overlooked" but the scenario is plausable. My post where he is/was Michael Jacksons blow rag is highly unlikely but deleted! This to me shows how pathetic and hypocritical you actually are.
You'll respond with..."A message has been sent to maccatk1 regarding the same content" but it will be after the fact....even not at all.

I'm not condoning whether the right/wrong posts have been deleted (I never saw yours).
I'm just pointing you in the right direction.
As it is, I don't agree with the post about your mother (bad taste in my opinion), but I don't go on a rampage.

Your post is taken into consideration and is duly noted.
I would also like to add that there is no freedom of speech. As moderators and a corporate based forum we will delete posts from competitors and suppliers and any other entity we deem that may affect 888PL's image.
It should also be noted that whilst we do allow alot of free reign for our contributors; we do stamp down on opinions that may unduly hurt or provoke other members. Your opinion stated in the deleted thread may warrant attention or indeed have some merit to it. But I would strongly advise to start your own thread to provoke discussion on this matter, rather than flaming and trolling in a thread where people are expressing their sorrow at a celebrity that has passed away.
I have to agree that there are people I have never met personally but who's stories I have heard or who I have heard passed and have sincerely been moved by this. Expressing sorrow or any emotions at the passing of a figure in history (entertainer, spiritualit, academic, etc.....) are not a negative thing nor something that should be sneered upon. Certain high profile individuals have made a profound impact on this world, the general population or specific population and in many cases certain individuals. To express sorrow at the passing is not a weak or "follow the sheep" gesture.
I didn't know any of the individuals who have been killed in military or terrorist actions, but I do feel sadness at the death of innocence and the way religion dictates people's lives. It does not make me naive or ignorant nor do I deserve unneeded criticism or insults for these thoughts.
Whilst this argument has escalated and insults were thrown; I do not agree with personal comments of this nature about family, David made the correct decision to delete posts and lock the thread.
We are all here as the one community and because you do not agree with someone's sentiments does not warrant disrespectful comments or attitude.

Fair enough Bacon...sorry, I'm in defensive mode. Seems you need to be mates with the forum owner here to get away with things others aren't allowed to get away with.

Re: FORUM CENSORSHIP - As written to "David"
most of us here were not already mates with the owners of this forum, but we became mates through the forum.
i think most of us regulars forget sometimes that new forum members dont know us and don't realise the context in which we post things. sometimes in-jokes are exposed to new people that don't know what is going on, and this may cause offence, or for them to take thing in a different manner.
in turn, new forum members (including you acehole) need to be really careful about how their posts are perceived. usually if someone posts something on a forum that has 2 meanings, 1 good and light hearted, and 1 insulting, then everyone will take the second meaning. i am sure you don't really mean your posts to be as aggressive as they sound, but thats the way they come across.
food for thought for everyone, including myself i think.

Fair point but again an opinion...don't get me wrong I'm not happy about Michael Jacksons passing, I'm not running around high fiving people about it. I just think a death of a celebrity will always bring out the jokes and light humour....would I say any joke to Michael Jacksons family.....no I wouldn't. Would I be sad....yes I would (for them not me, I honestly couldn't care). Would I get defensive on a forum and get all nancy about it.....no, because I have a sense of perception and I think I'm actually realistic. It took seconds for the texts to start with the jokes of his death......I expected it, I didn't get upset and pissy about it....grow up I say.
I would like to say though Garth, David deleted the post and ended the thread because of my last post. I'm sure you can get it from him if you wanted it but it just highlighted to me that there are rules here for some and not for others.

Re: FORUM CENSORSHIP - As written to "David"
Actually, I was in the process of deleting more posts - but I got called away, since I am at work.
I deleted it and locked the thread to stop other insults from anyone being thrown, that's all.
Sorry if you thought this was wrong.

Re: FORUM CENSORSHIP - As written to "David"
sometimes enough is enough acehole. i doubt there was any sort of favouritism going on, dave isn't like that - and that comes from someone that got plenty of posts deleted both before and after getting to know him.
hopefully you can move on and still have fun on this forum.
how about them crows on the weekend?
