He's my best mate actually and he is a great guy.

I found many outsiders played rubbish cards and a few even left without staying the night which was sad.

But I'm sure the others here would agree, thanks all for coming down, was a great event.
(and for only ever playing 3 live games, i came inside the 50 mark so I'm proud of myself.)

Haha , "outsiders"

I feel like an "interstate" team in the AFL.

Or, deformed.

And for the record - there were rubbish cards played by a lot of people, regardless of origin.

I finished around ... 110th I think?

I had little cards all day and just kept around 20k at both breaks.

Eventually I bet 25% of my stack with AK and a girl pushed for all her stack (18k) and had tens... the board didn't help me and I was down to 1800

Next hand I had Q9o and was also the BB (1000). Two callers and then someone shoved for 7000k. Cool, heads up I thought! No, two callers.

I obviously put my last 800 in the pot.

Board came out J J 8

Well, a gutshot! That's something.

Turn a 10

WOOHOO! I was looking at over 10k, back up to half the starting stack.

River Ace, no flush on the board.

I roll me straight WOOHOO!

Initial 7k raiser rolls KQ for an ace high straight on the river :(

Day over!

The event was great though, I managed to sneak a spot on the feature table and have dealers all day. Our table had AK, Both Macca brothers and Laura so it was quite fun.

It was brilliant catching up with the staff, both at the event and at the bar on the Friday and Saturday nights. Great seeing them let their hair down!

And drinking/chatting with all the guys from off here, B&G guys, old-man daryl etc, plus Scott and Andrew, Laura, Mat, Marc et al.. it may not be the most profitable event for the 888PL but it's definitely one that brings so many people together for a great time.

Thanks to the French girl who said I had a gut :)

Thanks to the bar staff for all being so damn cute.

And thanks to Matty Macca for starting to tell me how many chips he had every time I asked him on the Saturday night just so I could cut him off and yell "I DON'T GIVE A F**K HOW MANY CHIPS YOU HAVE"

:)

looks like tim came 3rd, macka 6th and xtal 8th ( well done guys )

but what about the other positions.
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

poker was really forgettable on the weekend. i was out really early, maybe only lasting 4 hours or so. got massively tilted by a guy shipping a 15K pot against me at the 100/200 level. the board ran 84332, and i was on the 10 high bluff, and got called by A2 on the river.

whether i played it bad i dunno, aaron said he was sure i had a mid PP as an observer to the hand. but its my fault because after that i played like an idiot.

anyway, i was out in time watch the crows game, so that was good.

the best fun by far was saturday night. it was great to have a few (lot) of beers with the forum guys and management. dakota jumping all over me was not a highlight, but i can't complain, he dealt me aces to win 10K! (i think i told him this about 20 times LOL)

it was great to catch up with dave, bacon (aka headsup4hoodz) and all the other boys on the forum. it was also funny to see matty norwood and dakota trying to run a tournament the next day when it was clear that they could hardly move :P

definitely keep this event going, it was great fun.

So it's sounds like the contractors once again behaved in a responsible manner.

Interesting.

Im sure they were operating on the old chestnut assumption

"what happens on tour, stays on tour"
