IMHO all you learn playing against worse players is how to play against worse players...

Got reminded why u should never bluff NPL away games couple of days ago

QJs in the BB, last hand before break (and I have a personal rule not to go crazy in these last hands, but broke it! DOH!)

UTG: raises... Im at a table with a few pretty knowledgable players and comment "Hmmm an UTG raise, what u got there Pokets Queens?"

folds to me, and I call (was only a minraise to 200 & I didnt really put him on Qs as ppl raise with anything from anywhere in these events)

J high flop with 2 rags, no draws
I bet out 500, UTG calls
turn a blank, so i throw out another 500... (id tripled up before this hand, and no, not using a card right away)
cant remember the river, but we both check (TD [sorry, Captain!] gettin ancy, wants us out so he can colour up!)

And he shows me QQ to win, and says "When you said about me having QQ, I thought u had seen my cards!" (He's one of those players who lifts his cards to right in front of his face)
to which I respond "Hang on, if you thought I KNEW u had Qs, how the hell did you call my bets on a J high board?"
he answers "I dunno what u got, but I could beat the board so I call"

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!

I also inform him that, had I indeed seen his cards, I would have told him so and promptly folded, certainly not announced it to the whole table!

btw, where exactly did this 'Captain' thing come from anyway? what was wrong with TD?
Image ...11.59% of bad beat stories are just misplayed hands ...

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
