I don't think for a second Bacon just rocked up to a hotel and said "Car is screwed, gimme a room, bill the RAA"

The RAA has contracts with the motels, simple as that.
The Motel charged for something they shouldn't have.

The room was organise through payment you make to the RAA so I would put it back on the RAA to work out how to get you the money back.

In fairness to the Dog and others such as myself, Bacon didn't make that clear in his opening post.

But would you make ANY attempt to get the money from the motel? Let's assume its not 500km away, but actually within a decent distance?

So, for all the budding wisemen and women on the forum, what chain of motels do the RAA deal with or do they have an open policy which depends on the location and availability of motel or hotel accommodation???

I just had another look at his post and I'm not sure if that entry at the bottom was there at the beginning or not AK. Only Bacon can confirm if it was or wasn't.

But like myself, most of us on here were replying to his opening paragraph which appeared to be in relation to himself. Having said that, I still find it strange that the Motel did what he suggested.

Yeah it was there when I read this thread at 9pm. I didn't get the point of the whole thread.
