I'm still laughing at his 100% DNP record when playing NPL :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

oK. First things first. I had no idea of Kit's record when Greg mentioned he was interested in playing. He had only told me that he was a very good player who had got into the money in a big event in Vegas. That's the first I've seen of that particular link. He has a funeral in Darwin on the weekend so he won't be playing, nor will one of our other great players, Greg Linke. It's interesting reading the posts about Kit when I've only just finished reading the post about staff playing in the NPL and how important it is for players to play better players in order to get better themselves. Would have been a great challenge for seven other players I think and great for the Tournament but never mind.... Call off the dogs.
I'm going to bite my tongue on what I really think but needless to say I'm disappointed.
Craig Pash is in for Kit and Steven Desyllas is in for Greg. I don't have numbers for either. He's an online reg who is yet to play because my two pull-outs happened on Wednesday. See how you go with that one.
I would like to say good luck to all my fantastic regulars who have helped make Palais Poker all that it is...I hope you all hit the flops and flay the donkeys. Thanks for making Tuesdays better.

I wasn't removing him.
We had a discussion on it and found it fine. I was contemplating rigging the draw so as I wouldn't mind playing against Kit again.
The nature of the tournament is players vs. staff: regular NPL players to compete against their regular NPL staff.
My only issue with it was: is he playing to win a seat into a $150,000 freeroll.
The only one question I was going to ask Kit was if I said he couldn't win the package to the 150K champs would he continue to play in the teams event?
It's a fair enough question. Staff have giving their time and shifts up to play at this event where they can win nothing.
Apart from that I do believe that the comments were taken the wrong way, I would have called you if I had any real issue with this player and I only found about this yesterday but was too busy (read: my birthday) to really worry about it.
In the end I was anticipating the reaction when other players find out that a successful semi pro would be playing.
Apologies if the comments were taken the wrong way.

No need for an apology Garth. My issue was with the connotation that the word 'ring-in' brings with it and therefore the possible backlash aimed at my team and to a lesser extent, me. Any potential problems with a player in my team need not be discussed in such a public forum. As I'm sure you understand.... and written text can sometimes be misconstrued. I apologise if this was the case. Anyway, he's not playing but rest assured if this format is repeated, I'll be trying to get him to play on my team again....he was keen as mustard. Thanks and I'll see you tomorrow. In 9 hours.

Ring in was more of a tongue in cheek comment.
Have to be careful how things come across. I apologize for my lack in tact.
