Check the pokernetwork forums Gundog. Aussie wide, poker forums. They'll tell you if there's anything in Perth.

burswood poker room is pretty similar to adelaide. when i was over there about this time last year, they spread 2/3 games. they might even have a 1/2 game now.

Pretty sure Brett has said in the past that poker in WA is like talent in the Melbourne Football Club.

Almost non-existent.

(just stirring, Graham ;) )

Check out this website:

Frank And Jason are a father and son team and they and their TD's run some great tournaments. Especially the cash buy in events. Legislation in WA also allows for ring games to be played in pubs. And there 2/5 NL game is extremely juicey. The two days I spent over there I finished up four figures from two nights of play. I love business trips!

i guess they charge a "table hire" fee or some such.

any plans for this down the track in SA??

Another question, why is the legislation so different from state to state? I realise that these laws are state and not federally created, but why are they different in the first place?
