I prefer 100% of the buyin going back to the player playing on the night, it may even allow 2 or 3 extra players getting a payday depending on numbers.

In the Buy in's I have played in 2 states 100% of the prize pool is returned to the players, this maybe a more attractive to entice more players to play CBI's

This, this, this and this so many times over.

I'm at the point now where I might as well just buy a CBI ticket when they start getting sold. Already played four CBI's and haven't won yet, one more and I'll be losing money.

The ticket is all I want.

Hi gundog. With this CBI structure it allows players to progress to bigger & better tournaments with a lot more cash on offer. If we paid out the entire prize pool every night then that's all you'd ever get, standard CBI events & nothing more to play for.

The competition structure, much like the casinos & online offer, is a "steps" style structure that allows players to progress onto bigger tournaments with much, much bigger payouts. It is NOT the same as other pub poker leagues and never will be.

In the end what we want to do is change peoples lives! We want people to be able to win a share of $100,000+ for the price of a single $10 buy-in.

And there's so much more to come!! I have to bite my tongue for another 7 days :)

The tickets will NEVER be sold mate. The only way in is win it or be invitied to buy in (very special circumstance only) I know you'll get there ALK! By the way, we are now running Sit 'n Go tables at all CBI's where the numbers are over 40.

$5 buy in 10 seaters with first taking a $50 ticket into the $5K Invitational

If less than 10 players then we are running $10 buy ins with the additional funds going to the minor placings.

eg: 5 players @ $10 = $50 ticket to 1st
eg: 6 players @ $10 = $50 ticket to 1st & $10 to 2nd
eg: 7 players @ $10 = $50 ticket to 1st & $20 to 2nd
eg: 8 players @ $10 = $50 ticket to 1st, $20 o 2nd & $10 to 3rd

So now if you bust out you hav another chance to get your ticket!

Just a few notes on the SNG's - No passports, no rebuys, no addons, 2000 start stack, super turbo format (approx 45 minutes). Players must have registered, played & been busted from the CBI event at that venue on that night.

More chances to win your way in!

This i LIKE!

How many of these will be run? Is it for only the 1st 10 people out, or will they be run on an as needs basis?

Hmmm.... makes me ponder tho, tickets will never be *sold* to the next step events, but but you can win them in a crap shoot, er Sit and Go :D, be drawn out at a break, or have them transferred to you. .... one wonders why you can't just buy your way in?

tim, npl may not sell tickets directly, but if someone wins a 2nd ticket via a cbi event, then Aaron wants to buy that one.

tongue in cheek

Turn up pay to play CBI stamp no cards if I bust out early then play the Sit & Go's and hope to strike it lucky for that big ticket.

Frowning Now

The player will most likely spend less, and the venue will receive nothing this is not good.

I would suggest that we see this in the metro standard NPL game now, where a player can play a couple of venues without spending a cent at the venue.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

There will always be players that do not spend and as we always say you are not obligated to spend if you don't want to.

At the venues where we have already run the SNG's we have seen no decline in the passport redemption at all.

One wonders???!! Ummm..how about being required to play at the venue to support that venue so that they can make enough revenue to continue to run poker so that you guys can go out & play!

Direct buy in would mean you'd never have to walk into a venue to play a game. I'm sure you can see how that just doesn't work in the scheme of things.

Fair call - I guess purchasing a spare ticket from someone will ensure money was spent by someone at a venue somewhere, which is a good thing, as a market will develop for these tickets.

I'm interested how many SnG's will be run each night - and if you can enter more than one of them? If you can, I can see players not stamping up, playing very LAGin the ME for the evening, then just playing SnGs. No money for the venue there. If you can't enter more than one, but multiple SnGs are run, I can still see a group of people, and I think numbers would grow, heading there just to try and win a ticket on the SnG table - $15 for two shots at the prize, no money to the venue.

Just for the record, I always fully support my venues, I just think there is going to be some unintended, and novel consequences from this setup.

Interesting.
