Look if thats your opinion, thats fine, but if you don't like a thread DONT READ IT!!

I think you can ask more questions or try to find out more info, but to have a go at someone who we dont know about a new thread is pretty poor form imo. You were probably part of the same group who wondered why there isnt many new forum members. Perhaps reply's like this (which either hide humour or contain none) are part of the reason why.

Exactly - poor form guys.

Sticky - you're as free to speak on here as everyone else, so do feel free to spell out exactly what happened, and why you don't like it.

How the hell are we suposed to know if a thread is good or not unless we read the damm thing.

And many a thread has started bad then turned good and vice versa, but unless you read them you dont know do you.

From my point of veiw there was certainly no hurtfull intent in my comment, just that i found this thread hard to read/comprehend and therefore contribute to because of the original poster's lack of detail

Plenty of blokes on here get a spray because there posts are hard to understand or follow fully, do i need to bring up Bruce or Bob as examples.

As i said before no malice intended, but we have as much right to comment about a topic as a person does in creating one, that after all is the basics of a forum isn't it.

I'll put this thread back on track.

Come on Krunchie.

You had a discusion with Mr Robbie about this subject, Skill V Luck, you defended the skill side of the arguement.

Whilst we all think we are skillful players but we all should fess up that everyone of us who have won an NPL game, there has been a element of luck in winning, as recently as last Tuesday night I have JJ shove and get called by QQ, I make the 3rd J on the river there was no skill in that, it was luck and I went on to win the night.

Iintimidation well that can come in many forms, the 2 most common are trash talking and bullying with a big chip stack.

I have used a chip stack to intimidate players on a final table a few times, the memorable one was the Friday night of the Deep stack weekend at Berri, I went to final table with a 4 to 1 chip stack which I used a few time to bluff players to fold.

I have also watched Macca do exactly the same thing using his stack to put doubt in opponents minds, in the process he played a mixture of weak and strong hands to take out 7 of the 9 players who made final table, I suppose mac's rep also played a part.

I the end this is turbo poker you will need a element of luck and skill to win, I support Mac's position that at final table blinds should be capped calculated on the number of chip in play. ie. 26 runners there will be approximatly 100,000 in chips in play, therefore blinds could be capped at 5000/10000.

If I get a Gath "shrug" :P

I Return with a "Raspberry"

My argument was regarding luck in poker

i am not a beliver in luck in poker only chance.

because the rules of the game are static it means there is no luck or un luck only chances.

Luck is something you get in sport (sometimes ) or in life, when there is a plethora of unseen outcomes and 1 comes along that is not forseen.

Poker is very different

that was my argument mate, and of course i defended the skill argument, as robbie was saying that the reason i make states every season is luck not skill which is utter codswallop ( but also remember this was my father in law, so he was trying to rile me up), and also defend his poor decisions lately by saying they were not poor he was just unlucky

I believe my thread raising a good point.

Why would someone bother sharing a poker experience if, as a new member, I would be shot down for creating a thread asking for your opinion whether this game is about skill or luck.

If my comments/threads are not welcome here, then I might aswell withdraw from playing npl aswell.
