Played an NPL CBI at Queanbeyan today.
Yes poker was played in NSW
Rocked up to Queanbeyan Tigers AFL club for a CBI event, the was about 70 runners for a $10 buy in.
The basic rules for the day were $10 get you 5000 starting stack, you have the option of 1 only lifeline of $10 for 5000 which can only used when you you have no chips left, at the 1st break you can have 1 add on for $5 for 3000.
Tables were allocated I drew table 1 upon taking my seat, I noticed red chips, a quick check of the chip menu on every table to familarize me as to the value of the chips and they were:-
Green 25
Red 100
Black 500
Yellow 1000
Purple 5000.
From the onset I played a loose aggressive game at the 1st break I had just over 20000, during the the 2nd session I manage to maintain my stack around the 14000 mark, On massive hand we had 4 all in and 1 player left with 600, on displaying the cards there was AA KK J10suited 67 suited and Q9 off no hand improved with AA taking the main Pot and 2 of the 3 side pots which totaled just over 25g My KK gave me the 3rd side pot which I had no net loss in the hand.
Got knocked out with 17 left.
There were numerous side games ran for those knocked out But-in ranged from $5-20, to keep the punters in the club.
