I'd give anything to have the God given talent to be able to bowl faster than anyone in the world and be on the verge of breaking into the worlds best cricket team. 8-)

Sure the injuries would be getting him down, and the pressure would certainly be on him to perform in every opportunity he is given. But isn't it the same in everyones job? There's crap parts to every type of employment, you just gotta focus on the positives.

TOUGHEN UP PRINCESS! :x

He's not playing for you, or anyone else. He's playing cricket for himself. For whatever reason, he doesn't feel like playing cricket anymore. He doesn't NEED to play just because he's your favourite bowler.

Since when was playing cricket his job?

Umm, ever since he joined the CA payroll. How can you not see that cricket is (well was) his job!

And as for not playing for anyone but himself, yes that is true. However I am frustrated. Not because he is my favourite bowler, but because he appears to be throwing away a talent and position that many of us would kill for. I know its his call and if thats what he wants, thats what he gets.. but it sh.ts me to see this talent go to waste.

I still stick to my initial post...TOUGHEN UP PRINCESS!

Yes, he's getting paid for playing cricket, but I don't see it as his "job." Like you said, everyone goes through bad periods in their job, yet they plow on. Tait won't be screwed over financially by quitting cricket - he could still find regular joe work. Besides, the way every cricketer (Aussie or not) talks about their love of the game, rather than the paycheck, tells me that being paid is just a nice addition. That's just the way I look at it.

I wouldn't say he's throwing it away. He did say there's a possibility he will return, right? I haven't been following the story that closely - not much of a cricket fan.

But yeah, it sh*ts me too to see his talent go to waste. But its his call.

I've quit my job in the past because of the c*ckheads I worked with... maybe that's the reason.

If I was being kept out of the team because of Mitchell Johnson, I'd quit too... the selectors have no idea!
