All this talk about rebuys Passports and add ons have me confused I think.

Now it goes something like this

A. You buy in for X amount

B. And then you can have unlimited $10 rebuys in the 1st hour if you get slaughtered.
b.1 Can you rebuy when you down to a ie 500.

C. Is it the standard 2 passports per player.
c.1 what is a passport worth used prior to the break
c.2 what are 2 passports worth at the break
c.3 what is 1 passport worth at the break

D. Add ons ?
d.1 a single add on for $10 = ? chips
d.2 a double add on for $20 = ? chips

I think that the lot in the words of Homer Duh
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

in standard rebuy tournaments, you can only buyin again if you lose your original buyin

say if the buyin was 2K, in the first hour or 90 mins, you could buy another 2k for 10 bucks, as many times as you want

then at the break, you could choose to buy another 2K for 10 bucks, or 4K for 20 bucks

judging on what garth has said, the passports will the the same as a rebuy - i.e if you get one stamped, then you can use it in lieu of money. same as the addon at the break - 2 cards gives you 4K

i doubt that it will be like the current NPL system when you can addon whenever you feel like it, as long as you are under 1K. i also doubt that the passports will be worth more at the break if you keep them that long

Not true, you are allowed to rebuy (in every rebuy tourney I've played)at any time that your stack is equal to or less than the starting stack. You don't have be on zero to rebuy.

or, are they for an addon that couldn't be bought with cash. is this the case, or are they just the same as a regular rebuy?

Have no idea on the stamping policy. But they don't have to be easier to obtain for less than a re buy, it's quite easy; most people are going to have a drink and possibly a meal anyway, so it would be rewarding those who are spending at the venue.

Regular passport procedures. $10 Rebuy, $10 Add on or $20 double add on.

So the second passport becomes more worthwhile. As well as been able to purchase a double add on on top of the passport. So you could get 6,000 in chips via passports and then spend a further $20 for an additional 4,000 in chips?

After re-reading this, it actually sounds like you can effectively quadruple add on at the break? That's a T8000 add on!

My plan was to be the same as with other rebuy tourneys I play - rebuy straight away (which in this case would be via the green passport), rebuy for ten bucks if and when I needed to during the first hour, and then add on for whatever the maximum is at the break.
