Yes it was me Aaron. For what it's worth as a friend of Tims I was concerned at the time. Tim had and still has, a young family, a comfortable business plus he was making good money with NPL.

I actually asked Tim. "Why would you want to give up what you have knowing how much time and effort Garth was putting into NPL. Plus being available 24/7 and having very little time for himself, why would you want it"?

Bacon says, i think Tim would be prepared for the work involved, nothing Bob says can stop him making the decision.

It was never my intention to "stop" Tim from making any sort of a decission Bacon. My concerns were purely as a friend having been in a similar position of being available 24/7 was very hard on both myself and my family.

Tim seen it as a challenge to himself and did apply for the position. Unfortunately he missed out that time but not this time. I'm sure he will do a great job and I wish him well.

Bob, I didn't mean to infer that you were trying to stop him. What I meant was that Tim is smart enough to know what he was getting into, and would weigh up the time constraints with his family, and outsiders would only be saying things as a concern for him. I know you only had his best interests at heart, as I'm sure we all do.

Bob, I used to work a job where I was on call 24/7, when I was 19 with a 6 month old son, so I know how it feels too. I only lasted 6 months in that role (but I wasn't making good money from it ;) )

My opinion is that Tim is a big boy now.

He even goes to the toilet by himself and can sleep with his night light off.

Tim knows what he is getting into and his role is in no way the same as mine, hence the restructure. He is the best man for the job and NPL is the better for this restructure.

Anyway I am sure Tim is thankful to all for the welcoming words and congratulations.

Looking forward to both working with Tim in some capacity, and watching the NPL grow from here on.

Well done on the appointment Tim.

I'll book us tickets no; England or the Caribbean?
