Edit: No need, was sent the info by a mate.

Wednesdays

$65 Buy-In

Freeze Out

NL Texas Hold' Em

7pm start

2500 Starting Stack

20min levels

Prizes are CASH!

2500 is pretty poor, but whatever. Guess this thread will now be known as the "who's going down to the cas next wed?" (feel free to tag along).

Alright boys, I've played the Wednesday tourny once. I started with 3000, but if it's true they dropped tuesday it could now be 2500.

Standard of play was not fantastic. There were 103 runners when I played. Top 16 paid. First break after 4/5 levels. 38 runners left. People getting smashed left, right and centre.

Just play solid and you should all be set. I believe they average 75 runners these days.

FYI, I came 12th when I played. Blinds 800/1600, last hand before 2nd break. Pushed for 10500 with [ac 10d]. All fold to BB with 14000 behind. Calls with J8 off. Hits a straight on the turn. Cashed for $165. Took it on a 2/3 table, turned it into $500. KK's, re-raise to $75 pre, flop comes J 9 5, Push for $425, get called by [Ac 9c]. He has me covered. Turn 9, River A. All done.

My advice, save your $$$s, play NPL on a wednesday. Play the weekend bounty tourny instead. $150 buy-in. $25 per knockout. 25-30 runners. 5000 start stack. 25 min levels. Much preferable for a decent game.

Freezout is what most people would call a 'normal' style tournament (like NPL tourneys - if we dont consider chip ups to be /rebuysadd-ons). i.e. if you get knocked out, you stay out and tables are broken up so that they remain as even as possible.

Don't lie Matthew. If you get knocked out, you are frozen in liquid nitrogen as punishment. Then dethawed when the tournament is over.

The starting stack is 2500, levels are 20mins with 10min break after 4 levels and every 3 after that.
The average turn out is 90+ players. with frist prize generally around $1400.
